“And yes, everything is fine, except this breast feels totally different than the other one, after radiation […]. That is still the case, and yes, that won’t vanish completely, I think. It probably will remain different […] It is as if everything is denser – the skin, in fact, but also around the nipple, on which I have had a little wound. But that also feels really different; the nipple feels different […] It is as if everything is tighter, and eh, also more rigid.”
Judith had a breast saving treatment (together with radiotherapy) after beaing diagnosed with breast cancer. She was interviewed for our study on how women respond to breast surgery.
