“it’s something, it stays, it doesn’t belong to you. With every movement you make, that thing is
there, it’s hard, so with everything you do, that thing gets in the way. [….] there are not many things I can’t do any more. A couple of things, as mobbing, I find awkward. Then it nevertheless feels, not painful, but just not pleasant. But no, besides that, I can’t say I have any limitations.”
Geraldine had a breast reconstruction with a silicone implant. She was interviewed for our study on how women experience a breast reconstruction, either with an implant or with their own body tissue.
